The significance of a Practice management

The application of the principles of business management to the running of a practice is the practice management. The practice could be a medical practice, a law practice, an accountancy practice or any other type of professional practice. The problem with most professionals is that they are usually very good at what they do in their professional discipline. They probably have at least a degree in their chosen field, they probably attend continuing education in their chosen field and they probably read professional journals. However, all of this does not equip them to run a business, so practice management is a discipline to help them.
