Rescue Dog Canine Allergies

My cousin brought home a rescue dog from the pound with all kinds of problems. The poor little guy has been scratching and biting his skin raw making nasty hot spots all over his haunches. We think he has Canine Allergies which is why his body is a real mess. I’ve never seen a dog with so much going on at once. I don’t know what my cousin was thinking but it wasn’t with his head.
Tomorrow we’ll take the dog to the vet for a full on check up and see what can be done. I’ve heard dogs can get the same kind of illnesses humans do so maybe they can just give him an allergy shot, although I think he’s going to need to have a bath a day just to calm his skin.
